Let’s begin: It is that time of year when GreatDrams, along with everyone else) starts to talk to you all about all the superb plans and products we have planned for Christmas over the last few months. And this year it is all about our Ardmore Single Cask Single Malt, our Virtual Christmas Party and our 12 Days of Christmas gift pack (now sold out).

Talking about Christmas, in November? Just a day after Halloween? Behave yourself. Oh you’re serious…  Sure let’s get into this… 

It was only in 2017 that Greg was invited to his first Christmas in July event, with Haig Club actually, before that he had no idea Christmas products and campaigns should be planned months in advance. Kirsty, with her background in fashion marketing had a solid grasp of this phenomenon and gently teased him for not having a clue. 

Our Christmas limited edition releases started as a one off blend (our first ever blend) in 2019 but have since grown into our most requested and discussed release each year, with anticipation building each year too – we love it. 

Every year our Christmas Limited Edition is our fastest seller, now’s your chance to order this year’s release, an Ardmore Sherry Cask matured Single Cask Single Malt.
This year we sought a peated single cask that had been matured in an Oloroso sherry cask and decided this Ardmore was the perfect expression for Christmas 2022.

Not a lot of people know this, but GreatDrams’ very first bottling was from the Ardmore distillery way back in September 2017 and we have not had the opportunity to bottle another cask from this distillery since… until now!

Bottled at the same age as the first one we did, but five years later, Expect beautiful waves of light Highland peat smoke, coupled with the sweetness from the sherry cask and an unquenching dryness on the finish that will having you coming back for more.

Ardmore was actually the very first Scotch whisky distillery that GreatDrams visited way back when. It was at Ardmore where we fell in love with production and the mystique of whisky’s flavour, history, heritage and timelessness.

This release each year marks the culmination of months or hard work ensuring the perfect cask is selected to create that ‘Christmas in a glass’ flavour profile from a different angle each year.
