TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Big, juicy berry fruit leads: blackcurrant, bramble, blueberry. The Malaga wine cask has transferred extraordinary depth of wine character alongside the grain’s natural sweetness. Something almost confectionery at first, then oak and grain come through and ground it. Boozy, rich and genuinely exciting.
PALATE
Dark berry fruit layered with wine-soaked oak and the creamy grain character that makes Invergordon what it is. The Malaga influence is not subtle and not trying to be. Rich, fruity, distinctive. Unlike anything we’ve released before.
FINISH
Long and fruit-driven. Berry notes carry through to the very end, fading into warm wine-and-oak dryness. Generous, warm and worth returning to.
