Offering a rare opportunity to own one of the very first casks of whisky to be produced in London since the Lea Valley Distillery closed over 100 years ago, East London Liquor Company based in London’s east end proudly presents a strictly limited number of 25 inaugural casks, available for exclusive purchase. The Creator’s Cask collection includes a range of sizes (30L – 200L) and styles (new oak, ex-red wine and ex-bourbon), making it the perfect gift for discerning whisky connoisseurs.

Located in the heart of East London, this independent British distillery is the only one to make whisky north of the Thames, bringing spirit production by traditional techniques back to the historic distilling area. Owners will not only have the opportunity to witness the liquid’s complex development from new spirit to full maturity, but will also become part of London’s rich history of distilling.

THE MASTER OF YOUR WHISKY

After choosing the barrel, size and type, owners will be able to fill their selected cask and visit throughout the year to check on the maturation process, where the charred oak barrel gives the liquor its caramel colour whilst imparting rich, subtle flavours of sweet vanilla and smoke. With the help of the passionate and dedicated distillery team, you will become the master of your own bespoke liquid as you regularly taste, nose, sample, discuss, and re-taste for as long as it takes to create your perfect whisky*.

THE WATER OF LIFE

The heavily charred new oak casks impart a mellow vanilla like quality on the whisky, which perfectly complements the characteristically spicy notes of the rye and pale malt mash bill. Those who choose to rest their whisky in reconditioned barrels that previously contained bourbon or red wine will discover truly genuine qualities and flavours of the whisky reminiscent of its former contents, from toasted almonds to rich dried fruits.

The perfect gift, investment or project with friends, the limited edition Creator’s Cask collection is available in brand new oak, ex-bourbon or ex-red wine casks, filled with the signature London Rye whisky produced on-site. Discover the collection from £4,100 for a 30L New Oak cask producing approximately 40 bottles at cask strength to £21,200 for an ex-bourbon 200L cask producing approximately 269 bottles.
