THE KRAKEN ‘DIVE THRU’ OPENS ITS UNDERWATER DOORS!

let’s begin

To mark the launch of its new limited edition bottle, Kraken Black Spiced Rum is opening ‘The Kraken Dive Thru’, situated at the heart of The Beast’s underwater lair!

  • The Dive Thru is staffed solely by a champion freediver, who is tasked with swimming down to retrieve the limited edition bottles from the Dive Thru and bringing them up to the surface – all on a single breath of air
  •  To be in with a chance of getting one of these ultra-rare subaquatic Kraken bottles – the first in a new series of limited edition bottles – fans are encouraged to head to The Beast’s online lair – The League of Darknes
  • The deliciously dark rum will also be donating £1 from every sale of its new bottle to ocean conservation charity, Project AWARE® in support of its citizen science program Dive Against Debris® and mission to connect the passion for ocean adventure with the purpose of marine conservation

Kraken Black Spiced Rum is marking the launch of its new limited edition ‘Unknown Deep’ bottle by opening an underwater ‘Dive Thru’. The sub-aquatic rum outlet will be staffed single-handedly by fearless champion freediver Beci Ryan, who is responsible for diving down and retrieving the special bottles for customers – all on a single breath of air.

The freediving enterprise is being undertaken at The National Dive Centre in Chepstow. Here Kraken is sending a prized batch of its limited edition bottles to the bottom of the flooded former quarry – all to be retrieved by the freediver. As well as being limited edition, each bottle of ‘Unknown Deep’ chosen to be immersed in the murky depths of the Dive-Thru will become an ultra-rare collector’s item, one fans of The Beast will no doubt clamour to wrap their tentacles around.
Amidst rusting wrecks of planes, cars and buses, and attempting to avoid the Beast himself, each Dive Thru made by Beci will last minutes and see her plunge into complete and total darkness in search of the submerged Kraken Rum. Along with the bottles she will also retrieve special gold coins that will be delivered to The Kraken’s most loyal minions.

But beware! There is a catch! The only way of wrapping your tentacles around a submerged bottle, dive bag and good coins is to be armed with your bank details on Wednesday 30th September, then you’ll be entered in a ballot – so make sure you’re ready!

To avoid your hopes and dreams of landing a new limited edition bottle perishing at the bottom of the ocean like a floundering ship after a battle with The Kraken, then head over to The Beast’s online portal, The League Of Darkness, pronto! The design of Kraken’s new gold and coin encrusted ‘Unknown Deep’ bottle is steeped in sea lore and themed around the story of a brave crew that discovered the Kraken’s treasure while on an ambitious deep-sea dive expedition to find the elusive Beast. The bottle is the first in a new series of deep-sea inspired limited editions.

As the mythical Beast is hell-bent in its desire to protect its fellow sea creatures, great and small, The Beast will be donating £1 from every sale of its new bottle to the ocean conservation charity Project AWARE®. Through its global citizen science program, Dive Against Debris®, the charity empowers scuba divers to remove marine debris from the seafloor and report data on the types, quantities and locations of materials collected. Danna Moore, Project AWARE’s Global Operations Director said “Marine debris is a complex and vast issue to tackle. Partnerships, along with a groundswell of community support, are two critical ingredients necessary to drive change. Kraken Rum has a rich history of supporting marine life, so we’re proud to join forces to raise funds and awareness for the plight of our ocean and its wildlife.”
