An exciting new trio of travel retail exclusive malts from Speyside distillery Glenmorangie with some impressive flavour profiles.

These malts are all part of the Legends Collection, a range of travel exclusive whiskies crafted by Glenmorangie. The Speyside distillery has created a collection of brilliant malts that will make any trip to the airport worth it.
While there have been various limited editions added to the Legend Collection over time, these are the three most recent expressions. Each one is a unique exploration of Glenmorangie malt and the skills they have in maturation.
Based in Speyside, Glenmorangie is a well known brand that has been revamping its line up recently. As many distillers look to bringing out more versatile whiskies, Glenmoragie is doing the same. One of their recent ventures is Glenmorangie X, a malt made for mixing that offering mixologists a high quality Scotch to use in cocktails.
Bottle cost: £55.79
Matured in American oak Bourbon casks and finished in Oloroso sherry casks, the Accord has a sweet and spicy flavour profile.
The nose opens with lots of sweet notes. It is packed with caramel, chocolate, vanilla and citrus fruits. There is a delicate fruity note with hints of cinnamon as well.
The palate is rich and creamy, with more fruit flavours including apples, dates and raisins. Caramel, butterscotch and a note of cinnamon also appear. Toasted brown sugar and sweet nuts round it off well.
The finish is full of oak wood and Sherry spices.

The Elementa has also been matured in ex-Bourbon casks and this time is finished in freshly charred oak barrels.
The nose begins with dashes of oak wood and orchard notes. Citrus fruits, milk chocolate and fresh cut grass abound.
The palate is spicy and warming. It is full of ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and pepper. More fruit flavour come out, including pears, apples and peaches.
The finish is strong, with more spice and a lovely note of vanilla.

This malt has been made using Glenmorangie’s heritage spirit, which is lightly peated. It has been matured in American oak Bourbon casks.
The nose opens with notes of citrus fruits, vanilla and smoke. It is quite earthy and fresh, with notes of moss, heather and peat.
The palate is spicy and sweet, with lots of depth. It has notes of hard toffees, caramalised pears, citrus fruits, vanilla and star anise. Cinnamon and nutmeg bring in a little bit of spice as well.
The finish is full of citrus fruits and vanilla.
The Legends Collection is an exciting opportunity for travellers to pick up some of Glenmorangie’s best malts. The Accord, The Elementa and The Tribute are each unique and exciting, offering a wonderfully different flavour at every turn.
