London, September 2021 – THE DEVERON® Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky unveils a bold new look as the brand launches its latest expression; THE DEVERON 10 YEAR OLD across the UK. Bringing to life the distillery’s location, production process and rich flavour notes, the bottle’s new look tells the story of how the distillery is located near the small, coastal fishing town of Macduff, where the river meets the sea, near the mouth of the River Deveron to create a range of whiskies known for
its notes of apple. The new design includes the iconic Macduff Lighthouse, symbolising the return home – a perfect moment to enjoy the delicious single malt whisky together with friends when relaxing after a hard day’s work. THE DEVERON 10 Year Old is available in Tesco stories nationwide and online for £25 for a limited time only (RRP £35) until 4th October.

TOFFEE APPLES

Sheltered from the seaboard storms, the Macduff distillery sits in a tranquil spot, that helps create a rich and fruity whisky. Made using five small copper pot stills and a unique distilling technique first introduced by the trail blazing distillery in the 1960s of horizontal condensers. This technique, that was soon adopted by other distilleries, helps gently coax extra character from the spirit. THE DEVERON is an approachable dram which has a tang of coastal air about it, bringing together the notes of salty shoreline, sturdy apple, dried fruits and nutty warmth on the finish. Perfect for the spirits enthusiast starting their journey into whisky and established whisky lovers.

Enjoy at home neat, over rocks or in a delicious Apple Highball, a combination of; THE DEVERON 10 Year Old, refreshing apple juice, cloudy lemonade, topped with soda water and garnished with some slices of a Granny Smith apple.

APPLE HIGHBALL

A super simple and delectable take on the classic ‘Highball’ cocktail, accentuating the fresh green apple notes found in THE DEVERON whisky.

Ingredients

50ml THE DEVERON 10 YEAR OLD
50ml Apple Juice
75ml Cloudy Lemonade
Soda (optional topper for extra fizz)
3 slices of green apple – granny smith or equivalent

Method
Fill a tall glass (Highball) with cubed ice
Add the whisky, apple juice, lemonade, and 2 apple slices
Stir gently
Add the soda to top and final apple slice to garnish
