Master whisky blenders to mix with their fans at The Scotch Whisky Experience

Many of the world’s top whisky blenders will gather at The Scotch Whisky Experience this April for An Evening with the Blenders.

On Wednesday 29 April, the five-star attraction will host the annual sell-out event, which gives whisky enthusiasts a chance to speak to master blenders from around the world, including the United States and Japan, while also tasting their creations and discovering the secrets behind favourite single malts and blends.

Susan Morrison, director and general manager of The Scotch Whisky Experience, said: “This will be the fourth year we have hosted the blenders and we feel privileged to be welcoming back these masters of their craft. Blending whisky is an intriguing art and this event gives people the rare opportunity to quiz blenders from around the world, as well as giving the blenders the chance to unwind with the people who actually drink their creations.”

The event will be held in the exclusive and recently refreshed Castlehill Room and sumptuous canapés will be provided by the award-winning onsite restaurant, Amber. Attendees will also have the chance to acquire some rare and unusual whiskies from around the world.

The event will coincide with the International Spirits Challenge, which is one of the world’s most authoritative and influential drinks competitions. This year’s challenge will see 400 whiskies from across the globe scrutinised by the expert panel.

Tickets for the evening are priced at £25 per person.  For more information, or to book a ticket, visit www.scotchwhiskyexperience.co.uk or call 0131 220 0441.
