This is one of the rarest whiskies we have ever released. Just ten bottles made available publicly in the UK.
Distilled at Craigellachie, this single malt was matured and then finished in a first fill Pinot Noir wine cask. The result is a whisky with real weight, depth and contrast. Craigellachie’s muscular spirit meets soft red fruit and fine wine tannins, creating something both powerful and elegant.
On the nose you find ripe red berries, dark cherry and stewed orchard fruit layered over Craigellachie’s signature meaty backbone. The palate is rich and textured with raspberry, blackberry compote, cocoa and a savoury edge that keeps everything in balance. The finish is long, drying and structured, with gentle spice and lingering fruit.
Bottled at 48.2% and without chill filtration or added colour. This is whisky for drinkers who value character, rarity and flavour above all else.
Ten bottles. All the rest went to Japan. No repeat.
