We thought it was high time that we worked together and the first fruits of our labours are in your hands. Here, we have a whisky that has spent 8 years maturing in a second fill Oloroso sherry cask before spending a secondary maturation of 10 months in a first fill Oloroso sherry cask. Hello, we’re Greg Dillon of GreatDrams and Tom Mills of Malt of The Earth Whisky Company.
Between us, we’ve tasted, bottled and written about an almighty array of Scotch Whiskies over the past decade. We thought it was high time that we worked together and the first fruits of our labours are in your hands. Here, we have a whisky that has spent 8 years maturing in a second fill Oloroso sherry cask before spending a secondary maturation of 10 months in a first fill Oloroso sherry cask.
Expect waves of freshly baked banana bread on the nose, fig rolls and pine cones. The palate presents notes of butterscotch, spiced orange peel and candied nuts with a long finish, melding together notes of orange peel and spices.
