A big, big sherry bomb here with this whisky maturing in a second fill Oloroso Sherry butt, initially, then for TWENTY-ONE months it was finished in a first fill Oloroso Sherry cask we had made especially for this one whisky – and we are so glad we did… its been a while since we have had such a big banger of a sherry bomb so we thought we should kick off our 2022 releases with this indulgent dram. Expect a lovely dry sherry character to this whisky with winter fruit and spice notes and a gentle orchard fruit note along with a smooth, velvety mouthfeel.

Known as ‘The Ben’, Benrinnes is a unique malt whisky that typically ends up in blends owing to its special character and big flavour profile.
The distillery has an unusual distillation method; the six stills are used to partially triple-distil the make and it used to have its own floor maltings too.
