This exceptionally rare malt whisky is matured in red wine casks to offer gorgeous red wine notes and a stunning amber colour, with a smooth and buttery finish that is dangerously easy to drink.

We here at GreatDrams are huge fans of the North British Distillery. They have superb green credentials, which is something we’re very passionate about. Any excess heat generated via the distillery is supplied to the local school and is used to heat it for free.

On top of that, excess energy is also supplied back into the grid, with all CO2 produced being collected and sold to businesses who own most of the most popular fizzy drinks and brands that you could name here in the UK.

Every single minute, the equivalent of 500 bottles of whisky comes off the stills.

Aged for 12 years, it’s easy to see why this Scottish malt whisky offers the perfect balance of flavour, providing rich and buttery fudge notes, combined effortlessly with tart and fruity flavours and a hint of vanilla to offer a magnificent aroma and taste.

As far as craft spirits go, this is most certainly a winner. It’s mature, it can be enjoyed neat, and at 48.2% ABV while being non-chill filtered, it’s extremely smooth.

We here at GreatDrams are huge fans of grain, particularly when a whisky of this quality has been aged and matured in casks of such premium quality. The red wine barrels really help to impart a wonderful depth of flavour and aroma into this aged whisky, without proving too overpowering.
