Linkwood whisky is well known to whisky afficionados worldwide, and for good reason. Despite producing exceptional spirits, Linkwood Distillery does not actually have its own range of whisky available to the general public. That is a crying shame, especially considering the calibre of their drams, including this Speyside malt.

We here at Great Drams are huge fans of the whisky, and jumped at the chance to offer you the ability to enjoy it yourselves. Those of you who enjoy a single cask, single malt whisky, are going to be absolutely blown away by this 8-year aged dram from our single cask series.

When we were finally able to source this whisky for you, we were irrationally excited. Why? Because this is a rare find in the world of whisky, that’s why! Finding a Linkwood single cask malt whisky is rarer than a UK road not riddled with potholes.

First off, we love the colour and aroma of this whisky. It’s a light golden straw colour with a shimmering amber hue throughout. There are also tart and fruity aromas on the nose that you’d expect from a Speyside.

Expect plenty of crisp apple and citrus notes here, along with sweet vanilla, orange peel, and a touch of honey. The influence from the bourbon cask is also really apparent with this dram, as bourbon barrels just offer something to single malt spirits that other casks don’t always get right.

Limited to just 178 bottles globally, this single cask Speyside is best enjoyed neat and offers a deep and smooth finish that’s loaded full of character. We’re chuffed to bits with this Scottish malt whisky, and we know you will be too.
