“A whisky with flavours and aromas of plum, prunes, savoury and smoke on the nose and palate with a smooth, long finish”
– London Spirits Competition 2023

Invergordon is a Scottish town home to many great things. Not only does this part of the Scottish Highlands offer some truly breathtaking scenery, it’s also home to the ‘World’s Strongest Brothers’ Tom and Luke Stoltman, who have won multiple strongman titles between them, including Europe’s Strongest Man, and World’s Strongest Man twice!

It isn’t just the people in Invergordon that are strong and full of character, however, so too is the grain whisky produced at the Invergordon Distillery. This Scottish distillery here may not have been around for centuries like a lot of the other similar buildings in the country, but that doesn’t mean that the spirit produced here isn’t any less special. In 2021 it celebrated its 60th birthday.

Invergordon Distillery is a grain distillery, so no malts are used. As you probably know, single malt whisky is very common in Scotland. Despite this, the spirits produced here are nothing short of exceptional. This 20-year-old for example, is a silver whisky medal winner, having won silver at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and the 2023 London Spirits Competition (LSC).

Because most of the spirit distilled here is used in blended Whyte & McKay releases, sourcing a dram or two from here is very difficult. Finally, after trying to source an ancient grain spirit here for many years, we’ve been able to do so. To say we’re excited would be quite the understatement. Put simply, we’re ecstatic and cannot wait to share this rare cask series single cask, single grain whisky with you!

So, what can you expect from a dram of this class? Well, to begin with it’s a gorgeous hazelnut amber colour that is soft, smooth, elegant, and oh-so refined, with an incredibly rich finish and wonderful flavour.

With fruity, fudge, and caramel notes with a touch of prune and a hint of vanilla from the ex-sherry cask it was matured in, there’s a whisper of smoke here to tie the winter fruit flavours and caramel aromas together perfectly. At 48.2% ABV, it’s mature and as smooth as you’d like.
