Cawdor Springs is the ‘trade name’ given to one of our favourite distilleries in the Highlands of Scotland, not too far from Inverness (ok, I cannot say more, just Google it)
The distillery itself is not open to the public, is one of the most sustainable in the industry and has a beautiful duck-laden pond just in front of it, not all the ducks are good flyers, of indeed landers… 😉
This Christmas we are deviating from our peated whisky profile and trying something a bit different. Having been matured for its FULL maturation in a Chateau Margaux Wine Barrique, this Cawdor Springs single malt is big on the wine character, big on the juicy berry and tannic qualities you’d expect all with a rather decadent depth of mouthfeel and character.
We wish all who enjoy this whisky a wonderful Christmas and a very prosperous 2024. Let’s hope it is not as rocky as 2023, well, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023… 2024 for the win? We will raise a dram or few to that.
