WHYTE & MACKAY LAUNCHES TAMNAVULIN Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

let’s begin

New Tamnavulin expression celebrates distillery’s anniversary

Whyte & Mackay has today, Wednesday 28 September, unveiled a new single malt scotch whisky available nationwide, to celebrate their Tamnavulin distillery’s 50th anniversary.  The new expression is available now and is stocked in Tesco and Morrisons stores throughout the UK.

Tamnavulin is matured in American Oak barrels with a sherry cask finish, boasting notes of toffee and apples, as well as a fresh palate of peaches, pineapples and pears.  Thanks to new stills that were installed during the distillery’s renovation in 2007, this latest release has a richer taste than some consumers may remember.  This will be the first opportunity for whisky fans to discover this signature Speyside whisky in over 20 years.

The bottle is encased in a premium carton featuring an image of the brand’s historic mill and the Coat of Arms granted to the distillery in 1977.  The bold packaging affords the bottle greater shelf prominence and enhances its quality credentials, giving greater confidence to the consumer.

Situated in Speyside, at the foot of the Cairngorms mountain range, on the banks of the Corrie Stream and River Livet, the distillery is in the perfect location to produce top class whisky.

Stephen Watt, Off-Trade Sales Director, said: “Tamnavulin distillery has been crafting remarkable whisky, full of Speyside character, for the past 50 years and this latest expression is no exception.  This is the perfect time to offer customers something new to drink, from an undiscovered distillery in the stunning setting of Speyside.  This new release will meet the needs of consumers in terms of flavour, innovation and price point.  With a smooth, mellow taste and eye-catching bottle design, Tamnavulin will bring a refreshing change to store shelves for existing and new whisky fans alike.”

The new Tamnavulin expression will be available from Tesco and Morrisons with an RRP of £32.
